Who We Are ... and why we're here

Hello! We are Stephanie and James. Two Connecticut natives who connected from 6 feet apart and whose lives and families were merged August of 2020 in Burlington, CT where we purchased our home, are raising our children and are planning to bring you an incredible cafe, roastery and unique hangout.

As passionate roasters, we believe that coffee is more than just a drink - it is a labor of love that begins with the fair and ethical sourcing of beans from around the world. We aim to support sustainable and responsible practices within the coffee industry and create a positive impact on both the environment and communities involved. With a deep appreciation for the art and science of coffee roasting, we strive to bring out the complex flavors and characteristics of each bean, creating a truly exceptional cup of coffee for our customers to enjoy. Every batch we roast is a reflection of our dedication to quality, integrity and the belief that coffee should be a true labor of love from bean to cup.

As a couple who had to get-to-know one another from 6 feet apart for the first three months of our relationship, we wholeheartedly recognize the importance of connection and community. That's why our cafe will be more than just a cozy atmosphere and place to grab a cup of coffee - it will be a space for community engagement and collaboration where everyone feels welcome.
